Latest Phishing Scam! Your Card Is Locked.

Posted on Thursday, October 24, 2013

Cell Phone users are receiving a text message that states "Bank Notice: Your card has been locked. Please call (260) 585-6566". This is a phishing scam. If you receive one of these text messages, do NOT follow the instructions in the text.

First, call your financial institution and report that you received one of these messages. Next, call your cell phone carrier and report the text. You will want to report to your carrier, the day you received the text, the number the text came from, the time the text arrived, and the contents of the text message.
